Machakos Senator, Johnstone Muthama, has called on the registrar of political parties to register only two political parties ahead of 2017 elections in a bid to uniting Kenyans.

Muthama said Kenyans need two parties instead of coalitions towards elections, one which would later form the government and another in opposition to keep to keep an eye on the one which will clinch on power claiming that with only two parties, tribalism would be done a way with a great deal.

"We want two political parties that will unite Kenyans, I urge President Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto to remain together, form one political party, so that it faces that which will be formed by the now opposition Cord under former Prime Minister Raila Odinga (ODM) and other principals Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper) and Moses Wetangula (Ford K) in 2017 elections," said Muthama.

The senator called on people from Eastern region to emulate those from Nyanza region by being indivisible and stand firm behind principles, ideologies of their party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

He claimed that issues facing Kamba communities and all Kenyans across the country can only be solved if there was unity of purpose and communities that speak out for what they believe in instead of being political sycophants of leaders without integrity.

Muthama who addressed public at Athi River town, Machakos County on Monday, expressed confidence that the Cord coalition will beat the Jubilee coalition in the next general elections if level grounds for elections were put same by the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission.
