The council's chief executive officer Harun Mwangi said Wednesday they were getting alarmed by rising cases of unprofessionalism especially among accredited journalists.

He said several cases involving bribery, extortion and misrepresentation were among the many complaints they have received.

He added that as a measure to contain the rising vice, the council had decided to revoke press cards belonging to perpetrators.
