Amani National Congress Party leader Musalia Mudavadi has called on the Luhya Community to reject leaders who have shifted allegiance to the ruling party Jubilee during the August polls.

Speaking during a rally over the weekend, the NASA co-principal described the opposition rebels as "traitors" for propelling the Jubilee agenda in Western Kenya.

He further accused the Jubilee adminstration of doing so little to uplift the lives of the Luhya Community, calling on the locals to back the NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga's bid.

"These guys (Jubilee) have been in government for the past four years and they ignored Western completely while concentrating on taking development to other areas. Now they are coming around with empty promises to our people," he said.

"We must all rally behind the engineer and give him all our votes to help us send the Jubilee administration packing," he added.
