Deputy President William Ruto has described Opposition alliance NASA leaders as nepotists following the nomination of Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka's eldest son to EALA.
Speaking in Kilgoris on Thursday, Narok county, Ruto said only Jubilee was keen to bridge the gap among all ethnic communities in the country, urging the residents to reject NASA leaders during the forthcoming general elections.
"As Jubilee, we are out to bridge the gap between all communities. We have seen our competitors busy sharing seats among their brothers, sisters and relatives. If these people can propose their brother and son for the post, when will a Maasai or any other group get an opportunity?" Ruto wondered.
"Nepotism is worse than tribalism. Raila and his team has no capacity to lead this country. Jubilee has bridged the gap between all the Kenyan communities," he added.
Wiper Party through Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has since defended the nomination of Kennedy Musyoka, saying he is competent enough for the job.
Musyoka's nomination has brewed an unending political tussle in the country, with National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale vowing to ensure that parliament does not ratify Musyoka's nomination.
