Led by Ting'ang'a Ward MCA Mwaura Napoleon and his Karuri Ward counterpart Martin Njoroge have said that Kiambaa Sub County has a lot of water problems and the fund that had been set aside for that purpose should not be allowed to leave the county.

"We received the news with shock that Gatundu North residents could oppose such an important project. I think they do not have any water problem there," said Mwaura.

"I request the State to bring that project here so that Riabai, Ndumberi and Kiambu town can have sufficient water," he added.

Njoroge said that they are much in need of water that they cannot afford politics like their Gatundu North counterparts.

"We have been talking to Athi Water about a dam here. Now that an opportunity has popped up, why not give us the dam?" asked Njoroge.

The two were speaking in Ting'ang'a, Kiambu on Tuesday.
