According to Cabinet Secretary for education Fred Matiang'i the ministry directs clearly that schools heads should not hold certificates of any students in their schools as he challenged them to make sure that they have released all certificates.

Matiang’i also urged principals to sympathise with parents since they do a lot in looking for the school fees.

“We gave a good directive to the heads of schools to release certificates without asking for money from the parents, those who are still holding the certificates it seems they are writing themselves a termination letter,” said Matiang’i.

“It is quite useless for school heads to hold the certificates and asking for some money from parents who have struggled to pay school fees, we need to sympathise with them since they are doing a lot and it is a sacrifice,” added Matiang’i.
