Reliance Air Charters has introduced two daily return flights along the Nairobi-Kisumu route to tap into the building demand for air transport.
The airline made its maiden flight to Kisumu on Thursday from Wilson airport in Nairobi.
The 30-seater embrace 120, eyes businessmen who will be able to travel to Nairobi and back evading traffic jam and the rigorous checking at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
Jeffrey Abbas, Reliance Air Charters Quality Assurance Manager, said the daily flights will spur the economy.
He disclosed that many people have been incapable to travel by air to the region due to flights scarcity.
“The demand for air transport in the Lake side city is high, many people fail to secure seats to travel and do business. What we are bringing is a secure, fast and convenient alternative at affordable rates,” said Abbas.
Passengers will pay Sh6,800 as one way charges.
Reliance Air Charters, Abbas said, has partnered with Britex Air Services who are the only ticket venders for the airline.

Joseph Okumu, Kisumu International Airport Manager thanked the airline for considering flying the route saying the move shall translate into jobs directly and indirectly.
