Kenya Ferry Services (KFS) Managing Director Bakari Gowa said the ferry will ease the vexing congestion that has been witnessed at the channel.

He said the vessel is now in good condition after undergoing repair with funding from the national government.

Gowa said service delivery will be enhanced at the crossing channel as the government intends to service and repair other ferries.

KFS is set to import two new ferries from Turkey in April, next year.
