Phillip Meli said on Friday the investment intends to help farmers preserve milk before selling.

He also said milk dispensers will also be established in all sub counties.

Mr Meli was addressing residents at Mutwok in Kapseret constituency when he made the revelation.

He said farmers were incurring losses as raw milk was going bad because of poor preservation.

“I call upon you to shape up on whatever you studied and let us know your ideas because it is through the same that we can be able to help you move away from daily complaints to innovative and creative life,” Meli said.

He spoke as farmers complained that they were making losses since most milk produced goes bad before being transported to the market.

Uasin Gishu is among counties in the country with a developed dairy sector.
