Mailu further noted that his ministries is working hand in hand with other stakeholders including the county government and the Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company to ensure clean water supplied to areas most hit with the outbreak.

The health boss said that the Ministry is also attending to issues of water contamination including repair of sewer lines which have contributed to the outbreak.

Nairobi was hit by cholera outbreak, leading to the closure of two hotels in the city.
