Eldoret Catholic Church Diocese Arch-Bishop Cornelius Korir has called upon the Ministry of Education to make Religious Education compulsory.
He said this will help to instill good moral in students as they grow up.
"Religious Education should be made compulsory from ECDE to secondary schools, this will help streamline students moral decay that may lead to burning of schools," he said.
Addressing journalists in Eldoret town on Sunday, Korir said this will help students growing up knowing God leading to students not being involved in unrest.
He however blamed the recent arson activities in schools on politicians for failing on their mandate, by settling their problems through demonstrations, accusations and counter accusations instead of embracing dialogue.
He urged parents to play their parental roles well by guiding and counselling their children on the right track.
