Religious leaders in Kisii County have condemned the killing of the Kabete MP George Muchai terming it as an act of evil.
According to Nyanchwa Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church pastor Andrew Chyweya, all religions leaders should put the nation into prayers especially at this time of darkness.
He said that the death of Muchai is a huge loss not only to his family and the people of Kabete Constituency whom he served with dedication, but also to the entire nation since he was a leader who knew no boundaries.
Speaking during the church session he called upon the government to start investigation as the church keeps on praying so that the killers can be known.
“I expect the police to mobilise all the resources to ensure that criminals who murdered Muchai, his two bodyguards and driver are speedily apprehended and made to pay for their heinous act according to the law,” said Chyweya.
The MP and his two bodyguards and a driver were early this morning shot dead at Kenyatta Avenue-Uhuru Highway roundabout in Nairobi.
The four were driving in a Toyota Fortuner vehicle when a masked gunman shot them at close range at about 2.30am.
