Religious leaders drawn from Kisii county has now urged president Uhuru Kenyatta to stop putting up strict measures and stand over dialogue and instead meet NASA leader Raila Odinga for a possible dialogue to strike the way forward for the nation.
According to the leaders, Uhuru's staunch stand will keep on depolarizing the nation along tribal lines.
Led by Bishop James Obiri during a press conference on Monday in Kisii the leaders said they are ready as the church to initiate the dialogue and urged NASA leader Raila Odinga to completely call off swearing in threats.
"President Uhuru Kenyatta should realize he is the leaders of the nation and it wont cost him anything in initiating the dialogue hence we urged him to reach Raila Odinga for the same" said Obiri
The leaders also urged those surrounding the president Uhuru Kenyatta and the opposition leader Raila Odinga to play their role to ensure that the nation moves on.
Their sentiments comes at a time president Uhuru has lashed any possible talks with the opposition chiefs for any possible talks.
