Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma wants Cord co-principals Raila Odinga, Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka to remain united ahead of the 2017 elections.
The lawmaker says unity of the co-principals will be a plus for Cord to win against the Jubilee government in the 2017 elections.
Speaking on Citizen TV Power Breakfast show on Friday, Mr Kaluma said the coalition will send Jubilee government home in 2017 only if there is unity among the coalition leaders and members.
“My appeal is to Cord co-principals to remain united as we approach 2017 elections,” he stated.
The MP said the coalition is working on key strategies that will see it form government after next year’s polls.
He said Kenyans were tired of the President Uhuru Kenyatta government and want change.
At the same time the lawmaker rubbished recent defections witnessed in ODM.
He termed the defections as inconsequential stating that ODM will still remain popular.
On Monday, Cord co-principals Odinga and Kalonzo confirmed that plans to register Cord as a party are underway.
Both Cord principals have declared interest in contesting for the presidential seat in the forthcoming elections.
