National Parents Association (NPA) chairman Nicholas Maiyo dismissed calls by the Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) secretary general Wilson Sossion to remark the 2016 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results.

He said it would be a waste of time since this was the first time that results were credible and with no cheating. 

"It's sad that Matiang'i is trying to reform the education sector, while some people are pulling him down. Why didn't they remark 2015 exams which were faced by massive stealing,'' he said during a press briefing in Eldoret, Sunday. 

"As parents leaders we won't allow the auditing of KCSE exams since it will pave way for cheating. For the first time students got the results they worked for," he added.

He urged Kenyans to support Matiangi's education reforms instead of condemning him.
