Residents in Nakuru have been urged to pray for Kenya ahead of the August polls.

Speaking at Wanyororo A in Bahati, area Deputy governor Joseph Ruto said Kenya required a lot of prayers.

He added that Nakuru had gone through a lot since the 1992 clashes of 1992 and that no one was ready to go back.

“When you look around things are not good and it is like the devil has risen so I urge all clergy and Nakuru citizens to pray for Nakuru and the nation at large to ensure peaceful elections,'' he said.
