Kenyans have been urged to remember people living with disabilities and the less fortunate in the society as a way to show love during the Easter Holidays. Speaking at Osfwan Children’s home in Thika, James Ndegwa, who is the director of Integrated Education for Life observed that on many times Kenyans forget street families and the disabled. “It has come to my notice that many Kenyans don’t remember to give back to the society even while in surplus, we are here today to offer our little support to the neglected children. It’s the responsibility of every person to give back to the society by providing things like food stuffs, shelter and even equipments required to sustain them,” he said. The nongovernmental organisation gave various items which included food, shoes, clothes, writing material and Sh 10,000 which they said will sustain the children’s home for some time. “Children who lack parents and guardians and something prompts them to go in children homes are good people if treated well, if you show them love, they grow well. I have observed that many people mistreat these children,” he said.
