Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala has predicted a landslide victory for President Uhuru Kenyatta in the repeat presidential election slated for next month.In an interview with People Daily on Saturday, Balala said there is nothing that will bar Uhuru from winning the fresh polls.The CS said Uhuru has the numbers to send NASA leader Raila Odinga to political retirement.He said Uhuru’s rematch with Raila will be a walk in the park for the Jubilee party leader.Balala argued that Kenyans have a lot of trust in Uhuru’s leadership and will overwhelmingly vote for him in the repeat poll, as the Jubilee administration has transformed the lives of Kenyans through development.“President Uhuru has an easy run in the repeat presidential election because of the numbers he has. In politics numbers is what matters most,” said Balala, as quoted by the People Daily.The CS who has been appointed to lead and co-ordinate Uhuru’s campaigns in Mombasa urged Coast residents to vote for Uhuru in the October 17 polls.“The Jubilee government has a workable agenda for the Coast people and Kenyans,” he added.He hit out at the opposition accusing it of using intimidation to woo for votes, adding that the NASA coalition does not have an agenda for the country.Uhuru is keen to garner more votes in Coast in the October repeat presidential election.
