Kisii county commissioner Kula Hache has challenged residents and prisoners to report any cases of radicalisation so that the police officers can be aware of such activities.

Speaking at Kisii Main GK prisons on Wednesday where she donated books with other security officers to prisoners, she challenged prisoners to report any cases radicalisation.

“We appeal to the prisoners that whenever you find anyone teaching radicalisation report the officers so that necessary measures can be taken, let us know that radicalising is not a denomination but it comes to ruin our ways,” said Kula.

Madam Commissioner also challenged the prisoners to use prisons in changing their moral characters so that when they are released they are accepted in a society.

“When you are here it does not mean that it is the end of your life you need to use this time in changing you altitudes so that once you are released you are accepted in society,” said Hache.

According to her, there are many prisoners who are being released after finishing their cases, after a short while they are arrested.

“We don’t want to be in associate where people are released while in a short time they are arrested, we need to be transformed," she added.
