Residents of Manga in Nyamira County have been asked to report crime suspects to police and stop taking the law into their hands by attacking and killing them.
Manga police boss James Musyimi on Wednesday said any resident found attacking crime suspect will be dealt with as by the law.
Musyimi said police officers are there to arrest suspects to be arraigned in a court of law.
“The law does not say crime suspects to be attacked and killed instead it clearly states that crime suspects should be surrendered to police for legal action to be taken,” he said.
The police boss said police are pursuing suspects who attacked a woman in the area on Tuesday accusing her for being part of those caused the death of a man who was killed in a love triangle.
