Nyamira County residents have been urged to report criminals hiding in villages to end crime.
Nyamira County commissioner Isaiah Nakoru on Tuesday said crime will only end in Nyamira if locals will help police officers with information to arrest criminals.
"There is need for locals to work closely with police officers so that criminals can be flushed out from Nyamira. Young people engaging in crime will be arrested since the law does not allow anyone to commit any form of crime," he said.
The commissioner added that police officers are focused to ensure locals are safe day and night.
"The work of police officers is protect people's lives and their property. Security patrols have been intensified across the County to ensure people safe," he noted.
Nakoru added that cattle rustling which has been a challenge to the security team will not be experienced this year like in the past years.
