A former Maseno University students' leader who was allegedly clobbered by a matatu crew died of head injuries, a postmortem report has shown.
After carrying an autopsy on the body of Joseph Ng'ethe Kiarie, government pathologist Johansen Odour found out that the deceased had a swollen neck and bruises and had blood oozing from his nose.
"As a result of my examination, I have formed the opinion that the cause of death was head injury due to blunt trauma," reads part of the report.
Odour also reported that the clothes of Ng'ethe, who was killed on Christmas Eve, were bloodstained.
The slain motorist was allegedly beaten two death by Marimba Investments Sacco crew after the car he was driving hit their matatu.
The accident is said to have had happened at Kamiti and Tuners Junction in Zimmerman, Nairobi.
Two touts associated with the Sacco were on Wednesday arraigned in court to face murder charges.
The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) had since banned the Sacco's licence.
Ng'ethe was laid to rest at his Thika home early this year.
