Former Constitution Implementation Committee Chairman Charles Nyachae has advised Members of the national assembly to know that they represent the citizens in parliament and not themselves .
Nyachae who was speaking at St Angela Sengera Girls High School during a fundraising in aid of constructing dormitories, he condemned the MPs who misbehaved during the state of the nation address by the president early this month.
He said that it was a shameful show by the MPs to the citizens whom they represent, he urged them to know that they are not representing themselves in the August house.
“As you know that nowadays am an ordinary citizen since am not a public servant I need to challenge them as a citizen of this country, I would like to let them know that they are representing citizens and not themselves,“ said Nyachae.
“We need our MPs to show the nation the positive things they are doing rather than whistling in parliament, they should lead us by example because there are students who want to be leaders of this nation and it is from them that they can learn what is good leadership,” added Nyachae.
