According to the area MP Joash Nyamoko, all university students from the region benefited from the funds.

“We have issued Sh21 million bursary cheques to 2,242 students in the constituency to help parents settle fee balances for their children.

"Throughout my tenure I will prioritize education which is the key to alleviate poverty from the villages,” he noted.

He stated that no relative or friend was favored in the allocation of the bursary funds.

The Jubilee lawmaker asked learners to work hard in studies so that they can get good marks for those in secondary schools and those in universities to qualify for good jobs in this country.

“Students should not take education for granted. I am challenging learners to put their energy in education for the good results to be realized since failures will not be considered in the job market in the Kenya we are in,” he added.
