The High Court of Kisii has said that Protus Moindi will remain to be the majority leader in the County Assembly of Kisii.
High Court Judge James Okiaga said that the course of law was followed to the letter. Protus Moindi was ousted from being the holder of the seat last year and that a letter from the Orange Democratic Party Headquarters that was read by the Speaker of the County Assembly of Kisii Mr. Kerosi Ondieki for the removal of the majority leader was denied by the county Orange Democratic Movement party Officials.
Speaking after the rulling was made in Kisii, Moindi said that he was happy and justice had been done, and that the truth was now all out for everyone to see.
Moindi said that the judgment had followed the law of the country as required and also said that what happened in the county assembly was against the law.
Moindi showed his satisfaction with the judgment saying that it was a wise judgment.
“The court has made a wise judgment and followed the procedures of the law. It is now clear that what happened in the assembly was unlawful but I am satisfied with the ruling made here today,” said Moindi.
