The newly appointed CEC's have been urged to ensure that they should reserve 30 percent of all jobs and tenders to youth, women, and people with disability(PWDs).

Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago said this will help empower them financially and also create job opportunities.

"I am giving a direction that all CECs should ensure that 30 percent of tenders and jobs are given to youths, women, and people with disability, anyone who will do contrary will be shown the door," he said during the swearing-in ceremony of CEC's at the county headquarters, Friday.

"Why should tenders be given to rock people yet there are people who are disadvantaged in the society who need it more. Any CEC who will increase his tenders to those special groups from 30 percent to at least 50 percent will get a reward, " he added.

He, however, urged them to work round the clock for the betterment of the residents of Uasin Gishu County.

"I won't tolerate any laxity in my government anyone who will be found sleeping on the job will be sent home and immediately replaced with competent ones. I appointed you to be servants and not bosses," noted governor Mandago.
