Residents of Omosocho village in Kisii Central Ward have challenged Kenya Power to consider their businesses in the area and address the issue of a transformer that exploded on Sunday leaving them in a blackout.
The residents say they might make heavy losses if the issue was not addressed promptly.
They said that they depend on electricity for their daily businesses to run hence their plea to have electricity reconnected to their premises.
Mr Alfred Mosige, a resident with a posh mill said that failing to do business even for one hour was costly.
“My business is this posh mill and without electricity I cannot manage to get my daily bread and usually when this happens the company takes long to respond,” said Mosige.
He urged Kenya Power to have measures in place to avert such inconveniences in future.
