Kisumu County Government has been challenged to improve traffic within the town by construction of more sub ways and feeder roads.
The furious Kisumu residents, retorted that traffic in the county ought to be improved to curb long jams within the town that keep them from reaching work places at the right time.
Locals, who gathered at Jomo Kenyatta sports ground on Wednesday, challenged the county government to speed up contractors pace such that ways would be operational.
Robert Okello one of the business personnel’s urged the county government to see ways leading to town are speeded up to reduce delays when it comes to reaching job places.
“Our roads are of great traffic and chances to speed up their operation would help in people conducting their daily needs amicably,” said Okello.
Gladys Wambongo also reiterated that the traffic situation in the town is a menace. She stated that the county government needed to speed up constructing or mending dilapidated roads to curb jam.
She added that traffic in the region is jeopardizing efforts in the economy, and needed to be reduced by speeding up constructors to build up roads faster.
“Let’s make sure roads construction are speeded up such that traffic can be reduced to make locals reach their work places in time,” said Wambongo.
