Katangi Ward residents have applauded their Member of County Assembly Felix Ngui for his support on education sector.
Speaking on Monday at Matetani Secondary School Kaloki Mutua, a resident of Syokisinga location in Katangi Ward, said that the MCA has helped many children to access secondary school education.
“MCA Ngui has been providing funds to support education, for instance in building schools equipping schools with books among many other areas. He has also been distributing funds to the needy in the society without discrimination,” said Mutua.
Mutua is among parents whose children benefitted from area bursary fund which was released on Monday.
The residents called upon the MCA to mobilize other leaders in Yatta Sub-County to support education so as to improve residents livelihoods.
Speaking on Monday while releasing the bursary fund Ngui urged parents and guardians whose children have not registered for the funds to register.
“I am urging parents and guardians who are struggling with fees to fill the bursary forms for their children,” said Ngui.
The MCA said that the Ward had by Monday evening received a bursary funds of Shs500,000.
