Speaking during a peaceful protest against the leaders, locals said the duo has in the past few months conducted issues against the party and it’s high time they get suspended.

According to Edwin Otwori a resident in Kisii town, he supports the move as the county needs to have a voice and not people with self-interest who are not willing to help the county in terms of development.

“As Gusii residents, we are shocked by the routes and decisions taken by Obure to use the ODM party to auction and sell the community vote to Jubilee,” he added

This comes barely hours after delegates in a meeting at the Kisii Cultural hall called upon the Party Chairman Kisii County Chris Obure and the Organising Secretary Joash Maangi to resign from the party and stop dragging the name of ODM Party in soliciting funds from State House and Sugoi.
