This call was made by Mavoko Sub-county Deputy County Commissioner, Makori Kodeck on Friday, who asserted there was need for each resident of the area to be aware of his/her immediate neighbour.

Kodeck told the residents to be wary of those individuals who spent most of their time closed indoors, especially during the day only to be active in weird hours.

He said those who were fond of having fun, more so in social places in the region but never their places of work were unknown, needed to be investigated by their neighbours.

The commissioner said some of those who had above descriptions might be among the few in the community who waited for others to work hard and buy property or have money, only for them to go and rob them.

He said the virtue of had work had to be inculcated among all Kenyans especially in Mavoko Sub-county to spur the region's development and ensure security for all.

Kodeck urged the residents to embrace the ‘nyumba Kumi’ initiative, take advantage of it and in a way or another feel a part and ownership for its success.
