Josphat Lowoi the county assembly majority leader urged residents to report all the officers who ask for bribes to the relevant offices.

Speaking at the assembly building, Lowoi said that corruption was the biggest enemy of development.

"It is the residents who usually give bribes when it comes to seeking employment in the Government institutions. We go to the extent of bribing public officers, when for example we want to get things like birth certificates, passports and other services. The country will always remain behind until we do away with corruption", Lowoi said.

He asked leaders to be on the forefront in educating the general public about the dangers that corruption pose in the country.

"As leaders, we should all come together and start fighting against corruption. We should all say NO to corruption," Lowoi said.

He urged leaders to avoid constant quarrels and wrangles in the assembly and ensure that they stick to development that they promised the people when they were seeking for votes.
