In a meeting at Teleview PAG Church, Chemngok said most of the residents aged over 18-years had not IDs, posing great security concerns.

''We also have a large number of old people who are 60 years and above who do not have identification cards. In case of an incident and you get arrested, you'll be charged for lack of ID card or be linked to certain criminal incidents. Go register for the document and help us ensure security,'' the administration official said.

Chemngok also called on those holding old IDs to embrace the new version of identification cards.
