Residents together with the society have accused Komarock Ranching Company Limited for grabbing their 1200-acre piece of land.

“Last month, they released lease documents shown to have been issued by the government, which suggests the land was leased to them in 1963. We believe these are fake documents and plead with Ngilu and Kioko to help solve the issue,” added Maembe.

The Chairman also revealed the Ranch had hesitated to reveal the real names of owners of the ranch.

Maembe further stated that there were lots of lands in Matungulu location and in Kangundo sub-county that could be very productive when utilized, but it unfortunate they are bare up to date.

This he said is as a result of land-grabbing menace issue in the sub-county, which has been on the increase, therefore forcing the owners to halt any developments until the rows are settled.

The Corporate Society together with the residents urged the Minister of lands to urgently intervene so that they could kick-start the developments, which they have been waiting.
