According to the residents, the dogs have affected local businesses and interfering with their daily lives. They are worried that the dogs might lead to diseases such as rabies.

"Customers are now shying away from businesses as they are afraid of the dogs. As early as 6am, the dogs are already lying at the entrance," said Christine Ombina who owns a cafeteria in the area.

A resident of the area, Purity Ajuma said that the dogs are now entering their houses.

"Whenever we leave your door open, chances of finding a dog inside are high. The dogs are always in search of food. We are called on the concerned body at the county government to come in and save us from this menace," said Ajuma.

Their own efforts to drive away the dogs have bore no fruits. They have tried driving away the dogs but all has been in vain.

"Sometimes, when chasing the dogs away, they turn violent, therefore, there is nothing we can do now due to the risks involved. The county government should hear our cries and help us before disaster struck," said James, another resident.
