Kisii university students have raised concern over the increased number of stray dogs in the school compound something that has send shivers among a number of them.
The dogs that scavenge for food in the school compound are causing havoc as students say sometimes they turn hostile especially when you cross their way.
They are worried of potential diseases such as rabies.
“Some of the dogs come to the hostels as they such for food or even the corridors at night as they seek shelter," said Kemunto, a student.
"We are worried about this for you don’t know when it can attack. Some are very wild especially when you try to make your way through,” added Kemunto.
It is alleged the dogs come from the nearby villages and the students are worried if the situation is not handled sooner they will be out of control.
They call upon the county’s animal control department to take necessary action.
