Residents of Kisii and Nyamira counties have been in the dark when it comes to understanding why their roads are in deplorable conditions.
The residents are not even sure who is supposed to construct the roads for them. They question the county government as well as the national government since this is not clear to them.
Residents from various constituencies in both counties have been complaining since devolution began yet nobody has heard their cries. The residents have been complaining to the county government and the national government to make it clear as to who is supposed to construct which road.
They say there are two types of roads, that is, national roads and county roads yet nobody has bothered to explain the difference to them.
Residents of Kisii have accused the county government of not constructing roads as they are in pathetic situations. It is a well know fact that for any county to develop in any sector it should have good roads networks.
The residents have now asked both parties to play their roles and repair the bad roads.
