Residents living near the Daraja Mbili slaughterhouse have complained about a bad odor that comes from the area.According to them, the slaughterhouses have no drains to take waste out leading to the bad smell they are experiencing."As you can see, the slaughterhouse has no drains and a lot of cattle are placed in one area for days without cleaning them," said Caleb Ombogo, a resident around slaughterhouse said.In the recent past, veterinary experts have put the slaughterhouse on the spot due to its unclean environment.Now the residents are urging the county government and the health sector to intervene and ensure good hygiene at the slaughterhouse.The slaughterhouse management was not in office when we sought for their comment on the matter.
