The price of beef and mutton meat in Tala Matungulu constituency has sky rocketed with the festive season just days to it.Herders and business people selling goats and cows within Tala have expressed their concerns with the rapid increase of the price of meat with others saying it will be difficult for residents to purchase meat this December."Whenever meat price shoots in Tala, chances are residents will not purchase meat until the price decreases. We have started experiencing loses because a lot of meat is not been bought now," said one of the goat sellers.The increase in the price of meat has been attributed to the high demand of beef and mutton within Tala especially during this festive season.However, the business vendors have promised to agree on a subsidized price that will be friendly to customers.The price negotiation of various livestock animals is expected to go until next year after the end of the Christmas holiday.
