The lecturer who tutors at Bondo University was shot last night by thugs as he waited for his gate to be opened at his residence next to Mamboleo Estate.

Ogada wants police to launch a thorough investigate to the killing and bring to book the perpetrators.
“Kisumu people now live in fear wondering who is next, we want police to come to our aid by intensifying patrols both day and night,” said Ogada.
He however noted that Kisumu has enjoyed peace in the recent days and the killing will ignite much fear among the county residents.
Ogada called upon the County Commissioner to address the issue of insecurity in the City and its environ.
He said tackling state of insecurity in the region should be addressed quickly and called for a concerted effort involving police officers and the public.
“I want to tell the Commissioner that if they engage the public, the fight against crime will be won,” claimed Ogada.
He alleged that some officers have been transferred, but have failed to report to their place of duties, a situation he said is compromising security of the area.
