Kibera residents wonder why they are victims of fare price increase which is unaffordable to those who depend on public transportation.
Ms. Ombwayo, a resident from the area says that commuters from Kibera area are highly charged compared to other routes of the same distance from town. She wondered what causes these high fares claiming that the roads are good and traffic jam is minimal on the route.
Josphat koki, another resident of Kibera who works in the industrial area as a security guard says that he is forced to walk to and from work due to the high cost of fare.
The residents say that the government and the public transport companies sit down and up with a solution to the problem because they are suffering given the fact that the cost of living is already high enough.
