Kangundo and Matungulu residents have raised concerns over motorbike riders who ride carelessly due to lack of proper training.
In an interview with some of the residents, they said that some of them operate without licences which has led to an increase in the number of road accidents in both sub-counties.
Joyce Kalekye, a Tala resident in Matungulu sub-county whose uses motorbikes as her main means of transport says she has witnessed several accidents caused by bodaboda operators which scares her every time she is on board.
Another resident Philip Muasya from Misyani area in Kangundo sub-county said that he is usually forced to ask the bodaboda operators to produce their qualification papers before boarding a motorbike.
This comes barely three days after a nursery school child was hit and injured near Kangundo.
Residents urged OCPD's from the two sub-counties to do a crackdown and arrest unqualified bodaboda operators to ensure the number of accidents have reduced.
