The residents led by Patrick Orero on Sunday said those spreading propaganda that the MP assaulted a blind man from Bomokora are doing it to be politically relevant.

“We should focus on development and shun divisive politics. Oyioka must be given time to deliver to the people who voted him and not following him with false allegations,” said Orero.

Beatrice Kerubo accused former MP John Opore’s supporters of having ill plans against the MP.

“We all cried we wanted to change in the constituency leadership. Opore is a past tense in Bonchari and his supporters should work with the current MP. No blind man was assaulted as claimed. Riana ward people where Opore hails from have not been sidelined from the CDF committee as claimed otherwise even if they will not be represented in the committee, no one will be discriminated in resources distribution,” said Kerubo.

Steve Onsarigo urged the former MP to stop using people living with disability for his own selfish interests.

“We all know Opore, he is using tactics which will not work. Using disabled people will not change people’s minds. Oyioka is our MP until 2022,” said Onsarigo.
