A section of Kwa Mbira residents in Limuru were up in arms over the weekend condemning area MCA, Njenga Murugami, over what they termed as poor hygiene in the area.
The residents have threatened to collect signatures to recall the MCA saying that he has lost touch with them.
"This man is only seen here when there are funerals around. The other times he is nowhere to be seen," said Paul Muhia, a demonstrator.
Caroline Wairimu said: "He says that we are dirty people which is not the case. He should come here and see the unkempt ditches and drainage system."
The residents have said that this is the last time he is serving as their MCA promising to deal with in 2017.
"Our votes are still intact and we will do the necessary in the coming elections. Two years are over and he has done nothing worth mentioning," said Lucy Njeri.
The MCA could not be reached for comments.
