Residents from Nyaribari Chache have a reason to smile after the water project initiated by the area member of parliament Richard Tong’i was completed, commissioned and handed over to the community
In an interview with some of the residents, they said that now they receive water at their homes and the problem they had been facing by traveling long distances for the precious commodity is now history.
Gladys Nyaboke a resident at Keumbu said that she can now get clean water at her doorstep courtesy of the water project that was commissioned over the weekend.
“We are now out of risk of contaminated water, that was our main worry and also we have been saved from the long distances that we used to walk to look for water,” she added.
Another resident from Ibeno area applauded the water project and said they are now enjoying the projects being carried out by the constituency funds.
“We have been seeing a lot of projects being initiated by the constituency funds and charged by the Mp but the water project has helped us," said the resident.
"This will see our farms get more yields as we can even irrigate during the dry season,” he added.
