Residents of Kinanie can now get water from their taps at the comforts of their homes.
Kinanie ward was, last week on Tuesday, hit by another major water shortage, thanks to the faulty pump.
Residents of Kinanie had to resort to fetching water from the swollen 'mto Mawe' which had bursts its bank following heavy downpour that had hit the area for the whole of last week.
This is not the first time this particular pump is giving residents of Kinanie ward dry spells.
A few weeks ago, this pump had broken down and the residents of Kinanie went without water for close to a month.
They had to turn to the only seasonal river in the area. The most affected by regular water shortages in the area include farmers, hotels, schools and Kinanie health centre.
Technicians from Kenya power camped in the area last week where they finally managed to fix the faulty pump.
They have gone a step further to secure it by constructing a concrete perimeter wall around it.
