Residents of Kibera have thanked the Ministry of Devolution and the government for setting up a huduma Centre in the area.
They said the centre has helped them get important documents that they needed in a quick and cheap manner.
Linnet Wamalwa said on Friday that she obtained a birth certificate of her son within two weeks.
Aquinas Wabomba said the centre has helped him apply for his identity card which he is yet to get.
"I have not yet received the ID but at least I did not use fare travelling to town to register,’ ’said Wabomba.
Meanwhile, Sarang’ombe ward treasurer Elizabeth Aluoch has called on women to start self help groups and register them at the centre.
Aluoch also advised residents to visit the centre and apply for other documents such as certificate of good conduct, NSSF, police abstracts and also access health services such as checking for blood pressure.
Kennedy Akoko who works at the centre also told the public to apply for the National Health Insurance Fund cards.
He said the number of people they attend to has increased since it was established.
