Residents of Tayari estate in Molo have hailed area chief Hassan Waweru for his recent move to crackdown on illicit brewers in the area.
"We urge the chief to continue with the crackdown on the brewers, we are behind him and we will work with him to flash out these people," said Njima.
The chief staged a raid on Thursday evening at a den at Tayari estate, nabbing several people including the operator and consumers.
There has been a public outcry on the resurgence of illicit liquor in Molo, months after president Uhuru Kenyatta ordered on the crackdown of all illicit and second generation brew.
The culprits were taken to Molo police station as they await to be arraigned in court.
