However, officials who have been accused of selling out tenders to politicians have refuted the claims.

Kennedy Ngamasia said the tendering process is all inclusive and anyone is entitled to supply materials at the site.

Ngamasai said the community had been given priority in the supply of construction materials but they lacked the capacity.
