The protesters claimed that the project, which intended to put up a dispensary was allocated Sh4 million, but the funds were never fully utilised.

According to the residents the project has not been completed despite the fact that it was located more than three million in the past financial year.

During the demonstrations Jones Mogaka who is a CDF representative in the ward said not even half of the money allocated for the exercise was spent on the project.

“The project is currently stalled and approximately only Sh1.5 Million have been utilised and there was need for further explanation by the project committee as we will not stand and watch our money goes to waste,” he added.

The protest organiser Richard Manono said that they were in deep anger because the dispensary construction has not been completed in the time frame set and no construction work is going on.

“We are so disappointed with the project and we want real explanation and see the project complete to help the residents,” added Manono.

The area MCA Beuttah Omanga said he will hold a meeting with the residents and he urged them to be calm because they will have a chance to ask him all the questions.
